New Castle County Govt. seeks candidates for the Paramedic Training Program.

Paramedic (ENTRY-LEVEL CANDIDATES FOR PARAMEDIC TRAINING)

Qualified candidates must pass the college placement examination administered by Delaware Technical and Community College and qualifying fitness test in order to continue in the process.  A written examination, an oral board interview examination, an evaluation of training and education, or any combination of the above, may be used to determine placement on the eligible list. 

Successful candidates will be hired by NCC and entered in the Paramedic curriculum at DTCC (14 - 18 month program), where students must maintain passing grades.  Students who have not had two semesters of Anatomy and Physiology will be required to attend and successfully complete an accelerated Anatomy and Physiology course.

Applicants must have at least three (3) years experience in the operation of automotive equipment and completion of a standard high school course or GED certificate program.
